What We Collect

Composed collects the minimum data needed to function:

Account info: Apple ID (name, email) when you sign in
Events: Event titles, dates, locations, and prep tasks you create
Calendar data: If you connect your calendar, we read upcoming events to suggest prep checklists. We never modify your calendar without explicit permission.
Voice input: Speech recognition is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. Audio is never sent to our servers.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics (which features are used, task completion rates) to improve the app

What We Don't Collect

We don't sell your data. Ever. Your information is never sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes.
We don't share personal information with advertisers.
We don't store audio recordings.
We don't access contacts, photos, or any data beyond what's listed above.

How AI Is Used

Composed uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to parse natural language event input and generate prep checklists. When you type or speak an event, the text (not audio) is sent to our backend which calls the AI. The AI does not retain your data between requests.

Calendar Integration

When you connect Apple Calendar or Google Calendar:

We read upcoming events to identify which ones could benefit from preparation
We only write back to your calendar if you explicitly enable "write-back" for an event
Write-back creates events in a separate "Composed Prep" calendar, never modifying your existing events
You can disconnect your calendar at any time in Settings

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Each user can only access their own data. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.

Location Data

Location is used only for departure reminders (Pro feature). We calculate travel time to help you leave on time. Location data is processed in real-time and not stored on our servers.

Children

Composed is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We'll notify you of significant privacy policy changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
